Civil status data is necessary information to serve the settlement of up to 80% of administrative procedures when implementing the 2-level local government model. Currently, localities across the country have implemented digitalization and millions of civil status books have been updated into the Electronic Civil Status Database. However, the implementation is stuck in many stages, from software, coordination between agencies, and staff skills. The authorities are urgently overcoming these shortcomings to ensure smooth operation of the system.

Many businesses still confuse “standards” and “regulations”, leading to errors in design, production, and distribution, causing losses in costs, time, and reputation. The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations 2025, effective from January 1, 2026, not only clearly defines the legal boundaries between these two concepts but also creates a transparent legal framework for businesses and people to comply with and exploit effectively.

Become an online collaborator: Beware of sophisticated scams

Social media warnings about online freelance scams.

Despite many warnings, many people continue to fall into the trap of becoming online collaborators due to the enticements of some people. The incident in early August 2025 of a woman in Hanoi being scammed out of more than 300 million VND while doing this job is the clearest warning about the unpredictable consequences of promises of "easy work, high salary".
