Based on the directives of the Central Government and the province, agencies, units and localities in the province have proactively developed plans and implemented solutions to prevent corruption. Accordingly, attention has been paid to publicizing and making transparent the activities of agencies, assets and incomes of officials, civil servants and public employees; transferring work positions, training and fostering officials; publicizing the management, use, land planning and compensation for site clearance... In addition, administrative reform and e-government construction continue to be promoted, with many breakthroughs, notably the construction and operation of the Provincial and Commune Public Administration Service Center system. The application of science and technology in the operations of administrative agencies has been actively and effectively deployed, especially the application of information technology in work management and administration, document processing, online meetings..., ensuring that work is resolved quickly, implemented publicly and transparently.

Along with that, agencies, units and localities in the province have strengthened inspection, supervision, investigation and strict handling of negative acts related to corruption, loss and waste; focusing on sensitive areas that are prone to negativity, such as financial management, budget, land and resource management, and basic construction. Party committees, party organizations, agencies and units have received, processed and promptly resolved information and denunciations of crimes related to corruption; strictly implemented citizen reception, processing and settlement of citizens' petitions according to regulations. At the same time, they have strengthened handling and prevention of harassment and inconvenience to people and businesses in handling work. The coordination mechanism in detecting and handling corruption and negativity through inspection, audit, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments continues to be promoted...

In 2024 and the first months of 2025, the police have investigated 42 cases/123 defendants for corruption, of which 29 new cases/106 defendants were prosecuted. The Provincial People's Procuracy has handled 26 cases/55 defendants; prosecuted 26 cases/54 defendants. The two-level People's Court has handled 34 cases/72 defendants; tried 24 cases/46 defendants. The authorities have recovered VND 22,462 billion/VND 87,131 billion and 16,351m2 of land related to corruption. Typically, on February 12, 2025, the Provincial Police and People's Procuracy issued a decision to prosecute and approved an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Van Su, Deputy Head of the Urban Regulation Inspection Team of Thanh Hoa City (old) and Nguyen Ngoc Manh, a cadastral officer of Quang Dong Ward (old) to investigate violations of regulations on compensation, support and resettlement when the State acquired land at the National Highway 47 Upgrade Project in 2011. Similarly, on January 20, 2025, the Provincial Police and People's Procuracy issued a decision to prosecute and approved an order to temporarily detain Le Van Bien, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Tho Xuan District (old); Hoang Loc Ninh, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tho Xuan District (old) and Le Nang Dung, Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tho Xuan District (old) for the crime of "Forgery in work"...

To continue to effectively implement the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the province, in the coming time, agencies, units and localities in the province will continue to innovate the work of propaganda, dissemination andeducation of laws on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity to ensure practicality and effectiveness. At the same time, consider and strictly handle the responsibilities of leaders and deputies if corruption, waste and negativity occur. Continue to strictly implement regulations on receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, ensuring timely handling of people's concerns and recommendations. Along with that, focus on inspection, supervision, auditing, investigation and final handling of serious and complicated corruption, waste and negativity cases and incidents that are of public concern.
