Currently, the water flow from upstream to Tri An Lake is increasing, averaging 2,000 m3/s, the water level in the lake has reached 60.4m (safe level is 62m).

Tri An Hydropower Plant will review the flood warning level in the downstream of Dong Nai River to discharge floodwaters at an appropriate rate. It is forecasted that in the coming days, rising river water levels and Tri An Hydropower Plant's discharge of floodwaters may cause flooding in the downstream of Dong Nai River.

Faced with this situation, Tri An Hydropower Plant has closely coordinated with relevant agencies to warn people in downstream areas. Dong Nai, Binh Duong , and Ho Chi Minh City have received notices to proactively implement measures to prevent floods and landslides.

Dong Nai Province's Hydrometeorological Station also issued a warning that the water level on the Dong Nai River is rising, almost reaching alert level 3.

Many low-lying areas such as Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Vinh Cuu, Bien Hoa, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach are at risk of flooding. Some districts of Binh Duong province and Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City are also at risk of being seriously affected.

Dong Nai Province's Hydrometeorological Station has issued a warning to localities to urgently deploy response measures to protect people's lives and property.

Previously, on September 22, the water level at Ta Lai station on the upper Dong Nai River reached 112.76m, higher than alert level 2. At the same time, Bien Hoa station on the lower stream also recorded a water level close to alert level 2, marking one of the highest water levels since the beginning of the year.
