Standing Provincial Party Committee held a weekly work meeting

At the conference, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee reported on the implementation of housing support for households affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in the province. Accordingly, in the province, 11/13 localities have subjects in need of housing support due to damage caused by storm Yagi. As of December 15, 10 localities have completed support, including: Dong Trieu, Uong Bi, Van Don, Ba Che, Dam Ha, Co To, Cam Pha, Tien Yen, Ha Long, Binh Lieu; and 1 locality, Quang Yen, has not completed. The total number of households supported is 397/410 households (including 69 households building new houses, 328 households repairing houses), reaching 96.8%. The disbursed support fund is over 23 billion VND, reaching 96.3%.

Concluding this content, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the departments, branches and localities that have taken part in implementing housing support for damaged households with positive results, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives after the storm.

For some households that have not completed support, he requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to direct Quang Yen Town to speed up the disbursement and support progress; ensure the completion of housing support for the remaining households damaged by storm No. 3, to be completed in 2024.

On the same day, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee listened to a report on the situation and results of the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term. According to the report of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term, held simultaneously on December 15, 2024, took place in an equal, democratic, safe, and in accordance with regulations and was a great success in all aspects. The voter turnout rate was high, reaching 97.15%, demonstrating the rights and obligations of voters. Some localities such as Cam Pha, Uong Bi, and Binh Lieu had a voter turnout rate of 100%. Some localities completed early such as Co To, Binh Lieu, Van Don, and Uong Bi.

1,452/1,452 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods have elected enough village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads with a high election rate, of which 129 people have a 100% election rate; no unit has to re-elect. Some localities have high-quality elected personnel compared to the whole province, such as: Young personnel (typically Binh Lieu, Quang Yen, Ba Che); high professional qualifications and political theory (typically Ha Long, Cam Pha, Quang Yen).

Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the success of the election of village, hamlet and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term was the result of the entire provincial political system focusing on doing a good job of propaganda; actively listening to and grasping the ideological situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people. In particular, the consultation work and preparation of material facilities were carefully and thoughtfully prepared, creating the best conditions to serve the election.

Based on the achieved results, the Provincial Party Secretary requested relevant sectors and localities to continue directing and guiding the implementation of steps to approve the titles of village, hamlet, and neighborhood chiefs as well as perfecting the titles in villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, ensuring the leadership of the Party Committee and the management of the government.

Emphasizing that the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs is an important step to continue implementing the model of "People trust - Party elects" Party cell secretaries who are also village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Party committees and Party organizations at all levels to continue directing preparations for the Party cell congresses under the grassroots Party committees taking place in January 2025.

Also on the same day, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee listened to and gave opinions on this week's tasks and some other important contents.
