Implementing the irrigation criteria in building new rural areas, An Binh commune has focused on doing well the work of natural disaster prevention, internal irrigation, and upgrading dikes.

In the period of 2020-2025, the commune proactively implemented measures to prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, especially riverbank landslides, storms, tornadoes, high tides, etc. In particular, it promptly supported households affected by landslides in Binh Thuan 1 hamlet with a total amount of over 8 billion VND; built houses for 11 households affected by landslides with a cost of 830 million VND.

In addition, dredging canals, combining with upgrading level C roads (inter-hamlet), clearing the flow of about 32km of irrigation works; completing acceptance and putting into use the irrigation project serving the new rural commune.

Up to now, the irrigation dike system has been basically 100% closed, ensuring people's production and cultivation. Currently, the locality is focusing on implementing projects to respond to climate change, prevent floods, landslides, and saltwater intrusion to protect production and stabilize people's lives.
