Meeting on regulations on management and use of local budget capital entrusted for lending to poor households

On August 27, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) branch in Vinh Long province held a meeting with departments and branches: Provincial People's Committee Office, Finance, Home Affairs, Ethnic and Religious Affairs, Agriculture and Environment... to discuss the management and use of local budget funds entrusted through the VBSP to lend to the poor and other policy beneficiaries; the resolution of the Board of Directors of the provincial VBSP at the first meeting after the merger.

Leaders of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies met with departments and branches of Vinh Long province on regulations on management and use of local budget capital entrusted for lending to poor households, August 27.

On this basis, the VBSP will operate documents to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for decision on promulgating regulations on management and use of local budget capital entrusted through the VBSP to lend to the poor and other policy beneficiaries.

According to the provincial People's Credit Fund, in addition to the local capital entrusted from now until the end of this year; in the period up to 2030, each year, 420 billion VND will be entrusted to the People's Credit Fund for 4 projects, a total of 2,100 billion VND in the next 5 years;...

According to Mr. Le Hoang Phi - Director of the VBSP branch in Vinh Long province - after merging the province, establishing the VBSP branch in Vinh Long province, the total capital to date is more than 14,470 billion VND; of which the local entrusted capital is 1,803 billion VND (an increase of 484 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year, reaching 248.5% of the plan assigned by the Central Government). The VBSP branch in the province is implementing 19 policy credit programs for the poor and other policy beneficiaries, with a total outstanding debt of 14,260 billion VND, 351,171 customers with outstanding debt.
