The workshop introduced and discussed the Project on strengthening international cooperation in the field of standards, metrology and quality (TCĐLCL), which was assigned by the Prime Minister to the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality (NCTQC) to preside over the development.

The project aims to improve institutional capacity and national quality infrastructure, promote technology transfer, human resource training and expand Vietnam's presence in international organizations such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology), ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) and strategic partners such as Australia, Japan, Germany and the United States.

At the workshop, delegates shared very practical information about trends and models of applying traceability technology based on artificial intelligence (AI), advanced agricultural product standards and especially how to design a green bamboo chain for exporting durian - a typical product of Dak Lak in the direction of meeting international standards.

Delegates also said that the contents of the Project to enhance international cooperation in the field of TCĐLCL have opened up a new vision for Vietnamese agriculture in the integration process, especially connecting with the global standards network, taking advantage of technology transfer and improving national technical capacity.

Delegates answered questions about AI application in durian production by businesses and farmers.

However, in the current context, from farmers to businesses, it is necessary to quickly access and apply science and technology, especially AI, to the agricultural value chain to meet the requirements of product traceability in domestic and international markets.

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Dr. Tran Hau Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality, expressed his hope that through the workshop, initiatives on digital platforms, agricultural product standardization and international cooperation policy orientations will be spread, connected, and applied in practice, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the country's agricultural sector.
