Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives Malaysian Minister of Economy

According to the special correspondent of VNA, on October 24, local time, on the occasion of attending the BRICS Leaders' Summit in Kazan, Russian Federation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received the Head of the Malaysian delegation to the Summit - Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister asked the Malaysian Minister to convey his regards to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim; reiterated the agreements reached during the meeting between the two Prime Ministers during their attendance at the 44th-45th ASEAN Summit; and highly appreciated the positive developments in relations between the two countries in various fields.

The Prime Minister congratulated Malaysia on assuming the role of ASEAN Chair in 2025; affirmed that Vietnam will actively contribute to ensuring the success of ASEAN Year 2025.

The Malaysian Minister of Economic Affairs thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to meet him and expressed his admiration for Vietnam's strong economic growth over the past 10 years.

Based on the development achievements of both countries, he said that this is the right time for Malaysia and Vietnam to strengthen cooperation, especially in new areas such as energy conversion; electronics manufacturing; participation in production and supply chains; expanding Malaysia's investment in high-tech fields and high value-added industries; and wanting to learn from Vietnam's experience in the creative industry.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Malaysian Minister of Economy also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the East Sea issue; agreed to strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums.
