Attracting cruise tourism from infrastructure and landscape advantages

It is expected that in 2025, Piano Land ship will have about 10 trips to Ha Long International Passenger Port, this is the 4th trip of the year.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh, since the beginning of the year, Quang Ninh has welcomed 35 international cruise ships, carrying nearly 50,000 cruise tourists, an increase of 25% over the same period. Tourists come from many markets such as the United States, Germany, England, France, Japan, China...

Continuously welcoming international cruise ships gives Quang Ninh the opportunity to promote the development of cruise tourism all year round, making an important contribution to the province's goal of welcoming 4.5 million international visitors a year.

Normally, cruise tourism peaks from September of the previous year to April of the following year. However, this year, although it is already summer, not the peak season for cruise tourism, Quang Ninh is still a favorite destination for many cruise tourists.

With its geographical location quite close to markets that many international shipping lines exploit to serve tourists such as China, Korea, Japan, Quang Ninh has promoted its advantages of synchronous and convenient infrastructure, unique natural landscapes and rich indigenous culture to attract shipping lines to stop. The fact that super yachts dock shows that Ha Long has become an attractive destination for international visitors, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position on the world tourism map.

According to data from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh, in 2024, the province will welcome about 60 international cruise ships, bringing more than 100,000 visitors of many different nationalities to Ha Long.
