Technology news site Mashable SE Asia cited many reports, along with some leaked rumors, showing that Samsung seems to be "conservative" with a 5,000 mAh battery. If this is true, the Korean technology giant will mark the sixth consecutive year without any battery upgrades on the S series.
The bright spot is that the S26 Ultra will likely support 65W fast charging, a step up from the current 45W.
Not only about battery capacity, the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra according to rumors will also disappoint many Sam-fans.
Previously, the Galaxy S25 Ultra product caused controversy because of its more rounded edges, reminding many people of the iPhone, then the S26 Ultra is said to go even further on this path.
Leaked rumors suggest that the device may have even more rounded corners, losing the square, masculine look that has become a trademark.
At one point, iPhone users even sought out square cases just to emulate the Galaxy's signature look.
However, currently, on technology forums like Phone Arena, many opinions say that Samsung is gradually abandoning the elements that once made the Ultra line unique, from curved screens to strong edges.
If it continues to pursue a safe and generic design, the company risks losing the “personality” that helps maintain a loyal fan base. However, this is just a rumor and Samsung has not confirmed anything.
