According to The Athletic , Arsenal will confirm Partey's departure early next week. Many Arsenal fans hope Partey will stay after his impressive performances, especially in the 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals last season.

However, Arsenal are preparing to overhaul their midfield. The deal to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad is said to be complete, pending an official announcement in early July to comply with new financial regulations. In addition, Arsenal are also close to reaching an agreement with Brentford to recruit captain Christian Norgaard for around £15 million.

In the 2024/25 season, Partey will still be an important player in the hands of coach Mikel Arteta, playing a total of 52 matches in all competitions. Joining from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 with a contract termination fee of 42.7 million pounds, Partey has played 167 matches for Arsenal, scoring 9 goals and contributing 7 assists.

During his time at the Gunners, Partey struggled with injuries but played versatilely, not only in his preferred defensive midfield position but also as a right-back when needed by Arteta.

At the Emirates Stadium, the only title he won was the 2024 Community Shield, beating Man City on penalties at Wembley. Partey is currently attracting interest from Barcelona and a number of Turkish clubs. Also this summer, Jorginho left Arsenal to join Flamengo.
