Weather today July 16: Afternoon rain in the North and South, hot in the Central region

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the weather in the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places. Rainfall will range from 15-30mm, with some places having over 70mm (thunderstorms will be concentrated in the evening and at night). The Northeast region will have sunny days.

Thunderstorms may be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rains pose a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes; and flooding in low-lying areas.

Natural disasters cause damage to homes, infrastructure, agricultural production and traffic safety. People and local authorities need to proactively prevent extreme weather events and monitor the next warning bulletins to respond promptly.

Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , the eastern region of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak is hot, some places are extremely hot. The highest temperature is commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places are over 37 degrees Celsius.

Due to the effects of heat, in some places the heat is intense combined with low humidity, so there is a high risk of explosions and fires due to increased demand for electricity and forest fires.

The South and Central Highlands have sunny days, with showers to heavy rain in the evening. This is also typical rainy season weather in these two regions.

The lowest temperature is 26-29 degrees Celsius, the highest is 35-37 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands cloudy, sunny during the day, showers to heavy rain in the evening. Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius.

Southern region is cloudy, sunny during the day, showers to heavy rain in the evening. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 32-35 degrees Celsius.
