Socio -economic achievements

Formed on the basis of merging the localities of Nha Bang, Nhon Hung, Thoi Son of the old Tinh Bien town, Thoi Son ward possesses both diverse socio-economic development potential and inherits the heroic historical tradition of the revolutionary land. Therefore, the locality has made efforts to implement the targets in the resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, achieving many positive results.

The ward achieved 42/49 targets of the Congress resolution for the 2020 - 2025 term. In particular, the economy grew at an average of 8 - 8.5%, the economic structure shifted positively; strengths in trade, services and tourism were promoted; construction and small-scale industry developed quite well; agriculture shifted clearly; transport infrastructure continued to be invested in and developed; the appearance of urban and rural areas became increasingly prosperous and spacious.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thoi Son Ward Ly Thuy Van said that in the past term, the agricultural sector continued to affirm its fundamental role in the local economic structure, with the total production value at current prices in 2025 estimated at 526 billion VND, an average increase of 3.5 - 4%/year. The trade and service sector developed quite well, with the total production value at current prices in 2025 estimated at 2,222 billion VND, an average increase of 12 - 15%/year. This is the achievement of the entire local political system and the People in overcoming difficulties and striving to complete the set goals for the 2020 - 2025 term.

According to comrade Ly Thuy Van, the work of Party building and political system building has been focused on, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees at all levels and the contingent of cadres and Party members. Government activities continue to be innovated, improved in quality, administrative procedure reform has been well implemented, and political tasks at the local level have been successfully implemented. Mass mobilization work has been strongly oriented towards the grassroots level, contributing to consolidating and enhancing people's trust, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc.

“Although the locality has achieved positive results, we still face difficulties such as: Socio-economic development is not commensurate with the potential; traffic, urban and tourism infrastructure is not yet synchronized... With the determination of the Party Committee, government and people, the ward strives towards the 2025 - 2030 term with the goal of building Thoi Son ward to meet civilized urban standards", comrade Ly Thuy Van emphasized.

Towards a civilized urban ward

According to Thoi Son Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Van Tu, in the 2025-2030 term, the ward strives to build a clean and strong Party organization; promote democracy and solidarity; maintain national defense and border security; and exploit the advantages of socio-economic development, especially tourism potential.

Specifically, the locality strives to successfully achieve 17 targets on Party building and mass mobilization, socio-economic development. At the same time, key tasks are set out such as: Strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system, fighting against corruption, waste, and negativity; focusing on solutions to promote economic growth, attract investment, and shift economic structure; developing high-quality, low-emission agricultural models, increasing product value; developing culture, heroic Thoi Son people with compassion, community awareness, diligence, and creativity...

“The ward focuses on implementing 3 breakthroughs, including effectively operating the 2-level local government; promoting the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the political system and the whole society. Promoting urban development with advantages in trade and services on the basis of exploiting tourism types and local specialties. Strengthening training links to improve the quality of cadres, civil servants and party members to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation…”, Comrade Nguyen Van Tu emphasized.

Attending and directing the Congress of Thoi Son Ward Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested Thoi Son Ward to strengthen Party building and political and ideological education, creating unity within the entire Party Committee and the People to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State. At the same time, he requested the locality to promptly develop and promulgate an action program to implement the resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term; in which the orientation is to build Thoi Son Ward into a highlight of experiential tourism, eco-tourism, spiritual tourism, etc.

“I believe that with the spirit of solidarity, intelligence, innovation, and aspiration to rise up, the Party Committee, government, and people of Thoi Son ward will continue to successfully implement the targets, tasks, and breakthroughs in the 2025-2030 term, opening up a new, comprehensive, and sustainable development path. The new Party Executive Committee will inherit and promote traditions, act resolutely, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate for the cause of building and developing Thoi Son ward in the future,” Comrade Ho Van Mung expected.
