Tho Xuan completes defense area exercise in 2023

On July 6 and 7 , Tho Xuan district successfully organized the 2023 regional defense exercise (KVPT) . This is the unit assigned to organize in advance so that other units can visit, study and gain experience.

Attending and directing the event were Colonel Vu Van Tung, Standing Member of the Military Party Committee, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee, General Director of the 2023 KVPT Exercise.

The exercise is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: Putting the armed forces into combat readiness states, putting localities into defense states; Phase 2: Organizing preparations for defensive operations; Phase 3: Practicing defensive operations.

In order for the exercise to achieve its goals and requirements, the District Military Command has coordinated well, advised the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, issued full documents, directed and operated the exercise, and organized training to improve the content for the forces participating in the exercise.

Agencies, units, localities and forces participating in the exercise have upheld their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, strictly implemented the exercise directives of superiors, closely coordinated and grasped the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and strategies on national defense and security in the new situation and achieved the set goals and requirements and ensured absolute safety in all aspects.

In his closing speech, Colonel Vu Van Tung, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, highly appreciated the efforts of all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, units, components and forces participating in the exercise who proactively overcame all difficulties, promoted spirit, responsibility, solidarity and coordination, contributing to the success of the exercise.

He emphasized that through this exercise, the leadership capacity of the Party Committees at all levels will be improved; the direction, management and operation of the government; the coordination and advisory capabilities of military agencies, police, departments, branches and organizations; the level of combat readiness, command organization and coordination between levels, branches and forces in operating mechanisms, handling defense and security situations occurring in the area, fighting enemy attacks and maintaining the defense area.

At the end of the exercise, the Chairman of Tho Xuan District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 20 individuals who successfully completed the exercise task of the District Defense Area in 2023.
