Attending the conference were leaders of the Vietnam Traditional Medicine Association; experts, representatives of enterprises operating in the field of traditional medicine, medicinal material production and more than 100 members of the Provincial Traditional Medicine Association.
The provincial Traditional Medicine Association currently has 105 members. In the first 6 months of the year, the Association has organized many meaningful activities, such as: Examination and treatment with traditional medicine, massage, acupressure, acupuncture for over 25,000 people; purchasing and exploiting over 28 tons of traditional medicine; producing over 8 tons of pills and herbal extracts... In addition, the Association also coordinates with localities in developing clean medicinal herb growing areas associated with preserving indigenous medical knowledge.
In the coming time, the Provincial Association of Traditional Medicine will continue to promote connections with businesses, production facilities, and research units to promote the clean medicinal value chain; spread traditional medicine models applying digital technology in conservation and sustainable development; improve the quality of traditional medicine in the locality...
On this occasion, Thai Nguyen Province Traditional Medicine Association organized the admission of 10 new members.

Within the framework of the Workshop taking place at the Conference, delegates were introduced and discussed the technical process of growing medicinal herbs in an organic and safe direction, in accordance with the EGAP (Good Agricultural Practices for Ethnic Herbal Medicine) standard - a set of standards for medicinal herb cultivation that is being piloted in many provinces and cities across the country.
The digital platform EGAP.VN - a transparent traceability tool for each medicinal plant, grower, processing and distribution process is also introduced as a solution to help enhance the brand of Vietnamese medicinal herbs, contribute to protecting consumer rights and increase the value of the medicinal product chain.
