The MV "First Time Being a Mother" was directed by Nhu Dang as a short film, not simply a quote of images like regular music videos.
The content of the MV is an image of Mrs. Tam when she was young, when she found out she was pregnant, and was forced to choose between life and death for her child. This is a rather novel idea of the producer, to briefly introduce the background and psychology of the character for the official film. The female lead in the MV is Hoang Van Anh, who is notable for her facial features quite similar to actress Ai Nhu, who plays Mrs. Tam when she is old.
The MV also reveals many segments of the film, not long in duration but enough for the audience to feel the drama as well as the acting ability of the actors Ai Nhu, Kim Hai, Tin Nguyen, Huu Chau... The MV also explains the cause of Mrs. Tam's illness, as well as the reason why she has such high expectations for her son. The climax of the MV is when the son has to exclaim "I wish my mother had not given birth to me", then leaves in the rainy night. A series of twists and turns leading to the adversity of the birthday being the day of the funeral are also revealed by the producer.

“First Time Mother” - OST “Battery: Mother’s Birthday” is a gentle, delicate and profound pop ballad, realistically depicting the emotional journey of a woman in the most sacred moment of her life, becoming a mother. The song is a gentle but also intense whisper about the sacrifice and protective instinct of a mother. With a thick and bright voice, rich in emotion, Uyen Linh fully conveyed the feelings of a first-time mother, bewildered but extremely happy.
Musician Chau Dang Khoa said: “Writing about mothers is both easy and difficult. It is easy because we all have feelings for our mothers, we just need to write from our hearts. But it is difficult because there are already many good songs about mothers, exploiting many diverse perspectives, so we have to make it new and relevant to the film's content. I chose to tell the story from the mother's perspective with the hope that children will also understand those who gave birth to and raised them. We are all first-time parents, we all experience, learn and draw conclusions from the right and wrong things. So not only parents need to be tolerant with their children, but children also need to understand their parents' hearts. I hope this message will create sympathy with the audience.”
“Pha dang: Sinh banh me” will be the movie for Vu Lan season this year, the theme is family in general, motherly love in particular. The movie is scheduled to premiere on September 12.
