Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet spoke at the meeting.

These countries have built science and technology teams to work with coaches to analyze techniques, competition tactics, prevent injuries and optimize training efficiency.

A representative of DreaMaX Technology Joint Stock Company said that after signing the cooperation agreement, the program will focus on applying AI to 4 key sports: Shooting, Archery, Taekwondo and Boxing. AI technology will support the analysis of athlete data in many aspects such as shooting lines, shooting lines, stability, injury prevention ability, and strike accuracy, etc.

The application of this technology will help process large amounts of data from athletes' training, practice and competition. The indicators are quantified and compared with international reference data, helping coaches and athletes have a scientific basis to build training plans, adjust training methods and improve competition efficiency.

Overview of the working session

According to the implementation model, the application of AI will focus on three groups of subjects: Group 1: Management agencies and coaches. AI technology provides visual data, helping to evaluate investment efficiency, select appropriate training content, calculate performance points and build scientific training plans.

Group 2: Athletes. Quantifying data will help athletes clearly identify their personal abilities, gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and weaknesses in competition techniques and training, and then make adjustments to achieve optimal results.

Group 3: The public and fans. The application also extends to sports communication and education, helping people have a closer look at high-performance sports, increasing interaction, cheering and inspiring training in the community.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong affirmed: “This is the right time to apply AI to high-performance sports training. This cannot be delayed. This must be considered a strategic turning point, an important lever to elevate Vietnamese sports in the new period.”

The Deputy Minister requested relevant parties to urgently develop a detailed implementation plan, paying special attention to requirements for evaluating training effectiveness and supporting athlete selection for the national team. In particular, the 4 selected sports are key sports with great potential for medals in regional and international arenas.

“Within the next 2 months, it is necessary to urgently collect initial data information to serve the preparation of athletes participating in the 33rd SEA Games. At the same time, after each year of implementation, there must be meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of the program” – the Deputy Minister directed.

With a systematic investment orientation, AI application will be one of the strategic solutions for the Vietnamese sports industry to fundamentally innovate the training model, aiming for sustainable development, modernity and international integration. Proactively applying technology not only meets the requirements of the times, but also demonstrates a strategic vision in training sports talents in the country.
