According to Decision No. 2513/QD-BTCGBC signed by Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee, the Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to select and award the author or group of authors with outstanding press works on culture, information, family, sports and tourism published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award the award to the typical press agency with many winning works.
The award is organized to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of the collective and individual journalists to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture. At the same time, it informs and introduces the results and achievements of the work of culture, information, family, sports and tourism; discovers typical advanced examples in the culture, information, family, sports and tourism sector; encourages and motivates cadres in the whole sector to join hands and continue to contribute more to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" is selected and awarded to authors or groups of authors, excellent press works, reflecting on real people, real events, discovering, accurately and promptly reflecting on collectives, individuals, positive actions, typical advances, criticizing bad habits and vices in society...
The entries focused on a number of key contents such as: Implementing the documents of the 13th National Party Congress into life, Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; realizing the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels; the role and importance of culture in the country's socio-economic development.
The guiding articles of the Party and State leaders are associated with the innovation and efforts of the Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism sector, accelerating and breaking through, together with the whole country firmly entering the era of national development. Anniversaries, major holidays, key events of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, outstanding cultural, information, family, physical education, sports and tourism events nationwide...
The work of building and perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies in the direction of "creating" and "unleashing" resources for the development of Culture, Sports and Tourism, especially the Master Program for the development of Vietnamese culture for the period 2023 - 2025; National target program on cultural development for the period 2025 - 2035; Planning the network of cultural and sports facilities and Planning the tourism system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045; Strategy for the development of physical training and sports in Vietnam to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Strategy for the development of Vietnamese families to 2030; Law on Cultural Heritage (amended)...
In addition, there are articles on the topic of building Vietnamese people in the period of innovation, development and integration with appropriate standard values, associated with preserving and promoting Vietnamese family values, cultural value systems, and national values; skillfully combining traditional values with contemporary values: Patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, loyalty, honesty, responsibility, discipline, creativity; Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; Protecting, managing and promoting the value of cultural heritage in various fields; Building a healthy cultural environment; protecting the values of truth - goodness - beauty; Strategy for developing cultural industries to 2030, vision to 2045; exploiting and enforcing copyright in cyberspace; Promoting the development and deployment of artificial intelligence applications in the development of digital cultural industries; Digital transformation of the Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism sectors...
Press works on achievements and lessons for Vietnamese sports to reach new heights; enhancing the role and awareness of physical education and sports among the people. Outstanding marks of Vietnamese tourism; enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism, developing tourism into a key economic sector. Education work, building family culture in the modern era; preserving and promoting traditional values of Vietnamese families...
New models, good practices, typical collective and individual examples, advanced examples in implementing policies and guidelines on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development...
According to the rules, the works submitted for the Award must be in Vietnamese (or in ethnic languages, foreign languages translated into Vietnamese) and published or broadcast for the first time in various types of press. The works submitted for the Award must ensure authenticity, real people, real events, accuracy and objectivity. The content of the work must raise issues of culture, information, family, sports and tourism that are of public interest; have the quality of discovery, summary or guidance, be persuasive and highly effective in society; have attractive and creative methods of expression; have a positive impact in serving the work of innovation and development of Vietnam's cultural career.
The press genres considered for the Award are press works of reflection, reportage, investigation, documentary, memoir, talk show (except live radio and television programs)... on culture, information, family, sports and tourism published and broadcast for the first time in the following types of press: Print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, photo newspapers from June 16, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
The Organizing Committee will not consider series of articles compiled from independent articles by individual authors, published at different times, without a series name. Works of fiction (poetry, sketches, short stories, literary stories, radio plays, etc.) will not be considered.
Participating works must be guaranteed to have no copyright disputes. Works that have been awarded in local, ministerial, and industry competitions are still eligible to participate in the Award, but must clearly state the award level and information about the agency/unit and the time of the award. Works that have been awarded in the National Press Awards are not eligible to participate in the Award.
Regarding the Award structure, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to outstanding works in various types of journalism. Specifically, 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, and 10 Encouragement Prizes will be awarded for each type of journalism. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also award 3 Collective Prizes to 3 press agencies with many works participating in the Award and achieving high results.
The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held in Hanoi on October 20, 2025.
