The event was organized by the Propaganda Department of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee (Communist Party of China) in collaboration with China Daily, attracting the participation of more than 200 delegates from the two countries.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Lu Yongzheng, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the Conference is a practical action to strengthen the friendship between Chinese and Vietnamese youth, contributing to preserving and promoting the "red gene source" through the young generation. He hopes that through the activities in Guizhou, Vietnamese youth will have a deeper understanding of the revolutionary history, thereby continuing the China-Vietnam friendship and moving towards a brighter future.

According to Mr. Duong Thao, Vice President of the Chinese People's Diplomatic Academy, to encourage the younger generation to contribute to fostering friendship between the two countries, in the next three years, China will invite Vietnamese youth to participate in tours and study tours, thereby promoting a deeper understanding of the relationship between the two countries.
Vice President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang, reiterated the important guiding principle for Vietnam-China relations established by the leaders of the two countries since 1999: “Friendly neighbors, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, looking towards the future”. He affirmed that looking towards the future means looking towards the young generation of tomorrow.
"The young generation of the two countries must deeply understand the strategic significance of the comprehensive cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, and must devote their youth to the work of building a community with a shared future between the two countries, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace and development of mankind," he shared.
On behalf of Vietnamese youth participating in the Conference, MSc. Duong Duc Tam, a visiting lecturer at the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, expressed: “As a Chinese lecturer, I always ask myself what I should do to contribute to preserving and developing the Vietnam-China friendship? And the answer is 'Connection'. I will continue to contribute in the field of language andeducation , bringing Vietnamese values to Chinese friends and learning to demonstrate my responsibility in nurturing this friendship.”

With the goal of "going together", young people from the two countries read the Vietnam - China Youth Initiative Statement together. Accordingly, the youth of the two countries pledged to inherit and preserve the "red" culture, maintain common historical memories and use actions to spread the spirit of friendship to more friends. The young people will also be an important bridge to promote cultural exchange and connect the hearts of the people between the two countries, while contributing to the cause of friendship and promoting cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, science and technology , innovation, startups, etc.

Within the framework of the Conference, a roundtable discussion between Chinese and Vietnamese youth and cultural exchange also took place, creating opportunities for delegates to exchange and share experiences in developing sustainable relations between the two countries.
