VnExpressVnExpress10/09/2023

The city of Deksa in Xinjiang was designed by Qiu Chuji, a famous Taoist priest of Quanzhen Buddhism, according to the Bagua diagram from the Southern Song Dynasty for flood control purposes.

Qiu Chuji (February 10, 1148 - August 21, 1227) was one of the seven great disciples of Wang Chongyang, the founder of Quanzhen Sect. This was a famous Taoist sect in ancient China with the motto of serving society, respecting truth, and striving for truth.

Writer Kim Dung used history to create the character of Qiu Chuji in the novels The Legend of the Condor Heroes and The Return of the Condor Heroes , describing him as a man of great martial arts skills, often practicing chivalry, often called the True Person of Changchun.
