Young man adjusts traffic lights to only show red in HCMC

(Dan Tri) - Discovering that the traffic light at an intersection in Ho Chi Minh City was only red, the police investigated and found the person who arbitrarily adjusted it.

On January 20, Binh Tan District Police coordinated with Phu Lam Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) to consolidate the case file to handle PVH (born 2009, residing in An Giang province) for the act of arbitrarily adjusting traffic signals.

Previously, late on January 16, the patrol team of the Phu Lam Traffic Police Team discovered that the traffic light at the Kinh Duong Vuong - Ten Lua intersection, An Lac A ward, Binh Tan district, showed signs of not working (red light on one way on Kinh Duong Vuong street). Checking the light box, the police discovered that the light had been adjusted, so they quickly reset the traffic light to automatic.

Afterwards, Phu Lam Traffic Police Team coordinated with An Lac A Ward Police, Binh Tan District, to extract surveillance camera data recording the image of a person adjusting the traffic light at 11:09 p.m. on January 16.

At 0:48 on January 18, the authorities discovered a person sitting on the sidewalk at Mui Tau roundabout, Ward 13, District 6, whose identification was similar to the image captured by the camera, so they invited him to the headquarters for questioning.

Initially, H. admitted to arbitrarily adjusting the traffic lights as above. The police tested H. for drugs and the results were negative.
