The free trade zone in Da Nang City is assigned to the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board (DSEZA) as the agency performing direct state management functions in this area according to the "one-stop, on-site" model.
According to the Prime Minister's Decision, the Free Trade Zone in Da Nang city will include functional areas: production, logistics, trade - services, digital technology industry, information technology and innovation and other types of functional areas according to the provisions of law.
According to the plan, Da Nang Free Trade Zone is located in 7 locations in Lien Chieu district and Hoa Vang district. The goal is to form a center connecting international trade, logistics and the key economic region of the Central region.
Da Nang Free Trade Zone is planned and developed on the basis of modern infrastructure, synchronizing the fields of production, trade, logistics, technology and high-quality services, aiming to become a regional economic center, playing the role of a strategic growth pole of the Central region and the whole country in the new development context.
The long-term goal is to build the Da Nang Free Trade Zone into an important link in the global supply chain network and the Asia-Pacific region; a production center, an international goods transit hub connected to Lien Chieu port, Da Nang international airport and the East-West economic corridor.
Contribute to promoting the development of high-tech industry, innovation and digital transformation, actively contributing to the economic restructuring process of the new Da Nang City after merging with Quang Nam province towards sustainability and deep integration.
Developing the Da Nang Free Trade Zone in conjunction with the International Financial Center in Da Nang City, forming a modern, smart, highly competitive economic ecosystem, creating great spillover effects, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the region and internationally in the context of globalization.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City is assigned to take full responsibility for information and submit to the Prime Minister a specific project to establish this free trade zone; organize investment and construction, attract social resources and call for investment in the form of PPP.
