Cam My district develops industrial livestock farming

According to the People's Committee of Cam My district, the total livestock herd in the district reached 191.5 thousand heads, the total poultry herd reached more than 489.3 thousand heads. Of which, pigs and chickens are still the two main livestock of the district.

The district's livestock industry has developed steadily, accounting for a large proportion, reaching more than 58.4% of the total agricultural value. The livestock industry has shifted towards industrial, large-scale production. The district currently has more than 3,000 livestock facilities, including 101 farms.

Regarding farm livestock, 95/101 farms ensure conditions on construction location; have environmental protection measures; have barns and livestock equipment suitable for livestock. 100% of household livestock facilities have barns separate from human residences; 100% of facilities periodically clean, disinfect, and sterilize barns and livestock equipment; have appropriate measures for epidemic prevention, collection, and treatment of livestock manure and wastewater.
