Ban Gioc Waterfall ranked 17th, the only representative of Vietnam on the list announced in mid-May.

The famous American travel magazine once voted the Top 25 most beautiful waterfalls in the world in 2021, Top 15 best waterfalls in the world for hiking in 2023. The criteria for naming the most beautiful waterfalls in the world in 2024 are having many tourists, often protected by parks or designated by UNESCO.

From Ban Gioc waterfall, tourists can visit many famous tourist attractions of Cao Bang such as Nguom Ngao cave, Pac Bo relic site, Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc pagoda. September and October are the ideal time to explore the waterfall.

In 2021, Ban Gioc was also named by this magazine in the list of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.

Topping the 2024 list is Victoria Falls in southern Africa, followed by Havasu Falls in Arizona, USA. Other famous waterfalls include Angel Falls in Venezuela and Dudhsagar Falls in India.
