In late August 2025, along Thuy Van Street (Bai Sau, Ho Chi Minh City), a new look of a modern beach and tourist area was clearly visible. This is the result of the Bai Sau renovation project with a total investment of nearly 1,100 billion VND, which is being accelerated to be put into service in time for the people and tourists on the occasion of the National Day on September 2.
Thuy Van Street was renovated and renovated at the end of October 2024 on an area of 19.2 hectares, stretching 3.2 km along Bai Sau. The project includes 12 main items such as upgrading technical infrastructure, building a coastal park, Thuy Van Square, etc. At the same time, along the road, 5 pedestrian tunnels are also planned to connect from the hotel and service area to the beach, creating convenience for tourists and residents.
The highlight of the project is Thuy Van Square, which is being rushed into construction. Previously, the project was expected to be completed in 6 months to be inaugurated on April 30, but due to many objective reasons, the progress had to be adjusted and postponed to the National Day holiday on September 2.
According to VTC News, most of the project’s items are in the final stages. At the construction site, hundreds of workers and machines are working urgently, creating a bustling atmosphere to put the project into operation in time to serve the people and tourists during the September 2nd holiday.
According to observations, Bai Sau Ho Chi Minh City has formed a modern public space, friendly to residents and tourists. On the sidewalk of Thuy Van Street, rows of date palm trees over 4m high create a cool green highlight. Next to the walking paths are nearly 1,800 Lagerstroemia, Tamarind, Coconut, Cassia torae trees... providing natural shade.
Interspersed throughout the park are flower gardens and green areas of nearly 11,000 square meters, with vibrant colors from snow mountain, French jasmine, windblown flowers to bougainvillea. On the paths, round rocks are arranged to serve as resting places and to add a lively touch to the landscape.
In late August, at the construction site, workers were still urgently completing the final items, working continuously despite the erratic weather to keep up with the schedule.
Mr. Tran Van Hai, a worker participating in the project's construction, said that there are only a few days left until the inauguration ceremony, so all workers and machines are working at full capacity, taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up progress.
The project that is expected to become a new symbol of Ho Chi Minh City is Tam Thang Tower, located right in the center of Bai Sau. This is the highlight of the entire project and is currently being urgently completed to be put into use.
Items such as the seashell-shaped roof, lifeguard tower, sidewalks, parks, lighting systems and pedestrian bridges have been completed and are ready for inauguration to welcome residents and visitors.
The investor affirmed that before the September 2nd holiday, almost all the main items of the urban renovation project on Thuy Van and Bai Sau streets will be completed, ready to welcome residents and tourists to visit, have fun and take a holiday.
The Thuy Van - Bai Sau road renovation project, once completed, is expected to create momentum for socio -economic development, while also elevating Vung Tau tourism, aiming to become an international destination.
