On July 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province confirmed that the world's leading travel magazine Travel+Leisure had just published an article praising the beauty of Son Doong Cave, located in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
In the article: "World's Largest Cave in Vietnam Has Its Own Weather System and Rainforest", Travel + Leisure magazine describes Son Doong as a "surreal natural wonder" with giant domes, a primeval forest ecosystem deep underground, and a separate underground river system and microclimate.
The prestigious American travel magazine reported that Son Doong Cave is large enough to accommodate a 40-story building, and that the stalactites in the cave are millions of years old. This is one of the most majestic and challenging destinations on the planet, limited to only about 1,000 visitors per year in the form of adventure tours.
