Tuition fees for Journalism and Communication schools increased, up to 72 million VND/year

In the coming school year, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will apply tuition fees for students of 571,000 - 1.04 million VND/credit. Specifically, other majors in the general education system are expected to have the lowest tuition fee of 571,000 VND/credit, an increase of about 65,000 VND compared to the previous school year (not including 13 credits of PhysicalEducation and National Defense - Security Education).

For the majors: International Political Relations and Communication, Publishing and Editing, the tuition fee is expected to be 1.04 million VND/credit (a decrease of 18,000 VND compared to last year).

Next school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) will apply an estimated tuition fee of 16.9 - 33 million VND/school year (an increase of 1.9 - 3 million VND compared to the previous school year depending on the training major). Accordingly, the Journalism major has the highest tuition fee of 33 million VND/school year.

Next school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ( Ho Chi Minh City National University) will apply new tuition fees for students from 16.65 - 72.6 million VND/school year, equivalent to 459,000 - 2.36 million VND/credit (an increase of about 2.35 million VND, depending on the major). Accordingly, the school's Multimedia Communications and Journalism major has a tuition fee of 29.84 million VND/school year.

Next school year, the Diplomatic Academy will apply a tuition fee of 3.4 - 4.5 million VND/month (34 - 45 million VND/school year), which is equivalent to the previous school year. For the International Communication major, the tuition fee is 4.5 million VND/month (45 million VND/school year).

The Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology expects tuition fees for new students in the next course to be 29.6 - 62.5 million VND/year (an increase of 2.6 - 10.2 million compared to the present).

Specifically, the tuition fees for Journalism, Multimedia Communication, and Multimedia Technology in the general program range from 29.6 to 37.6 million. The tuition fees for Multimedia Communication and Multimedia Technology in the high-quality, specialized program range from 49.2 to 55 million. The remaining is the Multimedia Communication and Multimedia Technology in the international joint program with the highest tuition fees ranging from 54 to 62.5 million VND.

Currently, Hanoi University of Culture has not announced the tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year, however, last year the school's tuition fee was 441,000 VND/credit.

This year’s high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. Candidates will take four subjects instead of six as before. The two compulsory subjects are Math and Literature; the two optional subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages (English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean).
Regarding the formula for calculating graduation scores, exam scores account for 50%; the rest is the grade 10, 11 and 12 transcript scores (50%) and priority points if any. Compared to before, the transcript scores increased by 20%. The high school graduation exam results were announced on July 16, 1 day earlier than last year.
