Among the 6,500 students of the 76th class admitted to the University of Transport Technology in 2025, there is a new student with a very special situation, having overcome life's adversities to be admitted and continue studying at university. His name is Nguyen Huu Phuoc. Phuoc unfortunately lost both his parents and 2 sisters in the tragic boat accident that occurred in Ha Long Bay ( Quang Ninh ) last July. Of the whole family, only Phuoc was lucky to escape the scythe of death.

Everything seemed to collapse, but with the encouragement of relatives and friends, Phuoc registered and was admitted to the school's major in Artificial Intelligence and Smart Transportation.

This morning, September 5, Nguyen Huu Phuoc and his godmother attended the opening ceremony at the University of Transport Technology (headquartered in Hanoi ).

In order to encourage, share and help Phuoc to have conditions to study and live at school, the Principal of the University of Transport Technology decided to award a full scholarship worth 250 million VND; including 100% tuition exemption, living allowance support of 3 million VND/month, and free dormitory accommodation for the entire duration of the course.

“We hope that this meaningful scholarship, along with the care and support of teachers and students of the school, will be a solid foundation for Phuoc to confidently step on the future path ahead. We also hope that he will consider the University of Transport Technology as his second home,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Principal of the school.
