Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hien, owner of Xuan Hien vineyard and member of Sinh Phat Cooperative, said that when starting to grow Black Summer grapes and Milk grapes in 2020, the Cooperative had only 7 members with a cultivation area of more than 2 hectares. This is a very new model in the North, so there are not many cultivation techniques and experiences, so the unit invited agricultural experts to guide. Therefore, the initial difficulties were gradually overcome, combined with the active support of local authorities, the vineyard quickly developed smoothly and affirmed its strengths with the quality of crispy, sweet, and fragrant fruit, especially the grapes are grown according to VietGAP process, ensuring safety for consumers.

Xuan Hien vineyard is currently over a hectare wide with thousands of grape trees planted according to a plan with high trellises, roofs to regulate the sun and rain, and a processing and packaging area. With these strengths, the products have been welcomed and consumed very quickly by the market. Each year, the vineyard has two harvests in spring-summer and summer-autumn; there is a harvest of 5-6 tons but it is sold out within just two to three weeks.

According to Mr. Hien, participating in the OCOP program has contributed to creating a brand for the unit's products. Products meeting OCOP standards are not only a "certificate" but also a commitment of the Cooperative on quality. From the stages of breeding, care, harvesting to preliminary processing, preservation, packaging and labeling, all must comply with strict production processes.

In 2022, Sinh Phat Cooperative's grape products were recognized as 3-star OCOP, expanding the opportunity to access the supermarket system, e-commerce channels and agricultural product promotion weeks of Hanoi . At the same time, it created a premise to elevate local products and increase the value of suburban fruits into typical goods of the capital Hanoi.

In addition to production, the Cooperative also develops an experiential tourism model, allowing visitors to visit, pick grapes in the garden, and take check-in photos. This has helped increase the brand value of local grape products.

Through the model of Sinh Phat Cooperative's vineyard, it has shown the effectiveness of taking advantage of alluvial land to apply science and technology to produce quality products, meeting OOCP standards combined with experiential tourism to bring sustainable value to farmers.

According to the Office of the Coordination of the New Rural Development Program of Hanoi, the city is currently leading the country in OCOP products. As of June 2025, Hanoi had 3,463 OCOP products with 3 to 5 star ratings, which has shown the strong momentum of the "One Commune One Product" program in the capital. If in the past, OCOP products mainly focused on the production stage, now the subjects have gone further in investing in technology, standardizing processes, registering trademarks, designing modern packaging and attaching QR codes for traceability.

In addition, Hanoi is also a pioneer in creating a "playground" for OCOP products through fairs, seminars, and product weeks that are regularly organized, connecting trade and stimulating consumption. To date, 110 OCOP product introduction and sales points have been established throughout the city, helping people easily access and recognize the brand. Notably, many promotional events also incorporate regional culture, turning OCOP into a bridge between agricultural products, craft villages and traditional values.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Ngon, Deputy Chief of Office of the Hanoi City New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, Hanoi's upcoming goal is not only to increase quantity, but also to improve quality. Therefore, Hanoi will focus on training and capacity building for entities; promote market research, brand building, and digital transformation. At the same time, connect production households, cooperatives, businesses and distributors into a closed value chain, ensuring a stable source of raw materials and production according to orders.

In addition, the City also aims to expand the distribution system, bring OCOP to tourist destinations, on e-commerce platforms; support packaging, quality control, and traceability. This is the foundation for OCOP Hanoi to be competitive, not only domestically but also in demanding markets.
