The Vallet Scholarship was established in 2001, within the framework of the Science and Education Association “Gap Reng Vietnam” founded by Professor Tran Thanh Van. With the meaning of supporting young talents, Professor Odon Vallet - Professor of Religious History at Sorbonne University, Paris - donated all of his inheritance money to the bank, taking annual interest to establish a scholarship fund for excellent students in France, Vietnam and Benin (Africa). In addition to scholarships for students, Professor Odon Vallet, through the organization “Gap Reng Vietnam”, also sponsored a number of libraries in Vietnam.
