Enjoy Autumn at Hanoi Ao Dai Festival

Watching the Ao Dai performance, admiring the Ao Ngu Than parade, living in the brilliant autumn space, immersing in music and art parties... are what visitors will experience at the 2023 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival.

On the afternoon of October 16, the Hanoi Department of Tourism held a press conference to inform about the events and activities that will take place during the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023. This is one of the programs to attract domestic and foreign tourists to Hanoi at the end of the year.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism - said that the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2023 aims to develop and promote Hanoi tourism associated with promoting Vietnam tourism; preserving and developing traditional cultural values of the nation.

This is also an occasion to honor the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people, a source of creativity, a product of unique, attractive and effective forms of tourism.

"The 2023 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival is an activity to continue promoting the image of the capital's tourism as a 'Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive Destination', promising to be an attractive and unique activity, attracting a large number of people, domestic tourists and international friends, gradually positioning itself as an annual activity of the capital's tourism", Mr. Minh shared.

The 2023 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival will begin with the opening night with the theme "Discovering the beauty of Hanoi" on October 27. On the stage designed like a historical train, the Ao Dai will appear gracefully and charmingly with artistic performances by singers Ha Le, Bao Tram, Nguyen Ngoc Anh...

Next, on October 28 and 29, a series of events such as the art music night "Colors of Hanoi", an exhibition and display space with 60 booths, a community ao dai street, ao dai parade and performance, a talk show "Orientation and development of ao dai in the community and tourism connection" will take place.

Participating in the 2023 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival as a designer, Miss Ngoc Han brought 30 Ao Dai designs in her latest collection.

"In this festival, the organizers gave the theme of Ao Dai and integration, Ngoc Han felt extremely excited because she has always wanted a theme that can encapsulate the quintessence of world culture in the Vietnamese Ao Dai.

In this collection, Han was inspired by the cultural quintessence of the world, from many different countries that Han had the opportunity to visit and learn about such as Korea, Japan, India, European countries... to put into the ao dai," Ngoc Han shared.

The difference of this year's festival is the community ao dai street "Walking around Hoan Kiem Lake" on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, recreating part of the cultural and historical space of the thousand-year-old symbols of the capital such as craft village models, West Lake lotus, One Pillar Pagoda, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Quan Chuong Gate...

Along with that, the ao dai performance by 600 Hanoi women combined with conical hat dance, fan dance and a parade of more than 100 people in five-panel ao dai promises to attract the attention of tourists.

The festival will take place from October 27 to 29.
