Nearly relegated from V-League, Da Nang Club aims for top 5

Not letting the heart-stopping scenario of V-League 2024-2025 happen again, Coach Le Duc Tuan and Da Nang Club are determined to fly high into the top 5 of the 2025-2026 season on the first day of the campaign.

On the morning of August 4, Da Nang FC made a grand entrance for the new season. They were the earliest team to hold a ceremony among the teams participating in the 2025-2026 V-League. This year, Coach Le Duc Tuan had the opportunity to work from the beginning of the season.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of Da Nang city, departments, sponsors and accompanying units along with enthusiastic fans. The ceremony took place in an atmosphere of determination and emotion.

Coach Le Duc Tuan introduced the goals of Da Nang Club in 2 arenas, one is to enter the top 5 of V-League 2025-2026 and achieve a high position in the National Cup (with a medal in the top 4 teams - PV).

This year, the team has carefully prepared its forces, a systematic training plan, quality domestic and foreign players, and especially received the passion from Da Nang fans.

Recognizing the team's weakness in selecting foreign players, this year, coach Le Duc Tuan quickly finalized a number of reputable names. Midfielder Emerson Souza was re-signed for his great contributions.

Former Hoang Anh Gia Lai foreign player, center back Kim Dong Su, is trusted for his fighting spirit. The remaining 2 foreign player slots have not been officially announced and will still be replaced before round 3.

Just over a month ago, Da Nang FC was facing the risk of returning to the First Division. They met Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc (now Truong Tuoi Dong Nai) in the promotion play-off match on June 27.

The result was a 2-0 win for the club thanks to Ha Minh Tuan and Pham Dinh Duy. Da Nang stayed in the V-League thanks to the timely "firefighting" ability of coach Le Duc Tuan after only 4 months of "standing in".

When coach Le Duc Tuan had time to prepare personnel from the beginning of the season, the goal of Da Nang Club was completely different. However, we have to wait and see whether these changes will be effective or not.
