Subaru Outback 2026 launched - new design, "luxury" upgrades
Subaru has just officially launched the new generation Outback. In this upgrade, the 2026 Subaru Outback has been "transformed" into a real SUV with more "luxurious" equipment.

Not only has the exterior changed, the price of the car has also been adjusted up slightly. Specifically, the standard version of the Subaru Outback Premium 2026 will have a starting price of 34,995 USD (about 922 million VND), excluding the shipping fee of 1,450 USD (38.2 million VND). The car has LED headlights, privacy glass, 18-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, an acoustic windshield and roof rack. The interior of the car still retains the traditional style, the car has a 12.3-inch digital clock, 12.1-inch entertainment screen, 10-way power driver's seat, StarTex heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Customers can add a $2,270 upgrade package that includes features like a sunroof, GPS navigation, wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel, and automatic wipers. In terms of safety equipment, the 2026 Outback has driving assistance features such as: adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, automatic reverse braking, emergency steering assist and cross traffic alert when reversing. Powering the standard Outback Premium is a 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission and a symmetrical all-wheel drive system. In higher trim levels, Subaru offers a variety of options for customers.
The Outback Limited starts at $41,715. In addition to the standard equipment, it also comes with a sunroof, automatic wipers, 18-inch black wheels, perforated leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, an 8-way power front passenger seat, a wireless smartphone charger, GPS navigation, and a Harman Kardon audio system. The Outback Touring version will cost $45,395 (VND 1.2 billion). This version has additional outstanding equipment such as: ventilated front seats covered in Nappa leather, 12-way power driver's seat, auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink, 360-degree camera and new generation EyeSight system supporting hands-free driving on the highway. The Outback Limited XT and Touring XT, starting at $44,365, are for those looking for performance. They come with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces 260 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. They come with the same amenities as the Limited, but with some additional touches like 19-inch wheels and a dual exhaust system. Finally, there’s the Outback Wilderness, a dedicated off-road version with increased ground clearance of 241 mm. It features electronically controlled shock absorbers, custom bumpers and skid plates, and 17-inch wheels with Bridgestone Dueler tires.
The interior uses StarTex material, comes with heated seats, wireless phone charging and Harman Kardon sound system; customers can also upgrade to a premium package with Nappa leather seats, ventilated front seats and 360-degree camera. The 2026 Subaru Outback is scheduled to arrive at US dealerships later this year, with the Wilderness model expected to arrive in early 2026.
