Early completion of the general planning of Van Canh commune with long-term vision and regional connectivity

Van Canh commune was established on the basis of merging Canh Thuan, Canh Hoa communes, Van Canh town and Canh Giao village (belonging to Canh Hiep commune). After the merger, Van Canh commune has a total natural area of over 208 km ² , with 23 hamlets and villages. Of which, the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for over 63.23%.

During the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committees of the localities before the merger made efforts and achieved important results in all fields.

On that basis, in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee sets the target of striving for an average annual growth rate of local product value of 12.8%; total export turnover in the 2026-2030 period reaching 32 million USD; total budget revenue in the area by 2030 reaching 43.4 billion VND.

Along with that, retail sales of goods and service revenue in the 2026-2030 period will reach 1,926 billion VND; the average reduction in multidimensional poverty rate in the 2026-2030 period will be 4.17%/year.

Speaking at the Congress, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Dang Vinh Son suggested: In the new term, the Party Committee and government of Canh Vinh commune should focus on raising awareness of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the task of building and developing the locality.

At the same time, focus on shifting the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry-construction, trade-service; promote investment in Van Canh Industrial Cluster and calculate planning, calling for additional industrial clusters. Promote the advantages of the regional center, create conditions and support business activities of consumer goods, research, build, and promote OCOP products.

Along with that, continue to transform the agricultural sector structure towards sustainability, focusing on key crops. Promote business-farmer linkages from production to product consumption.

Effectively exploit the potentials and advantages to develop community tourism . Pay attention to protecting protective forests, natural forests, and expanding the economic forest area. In particular, soon complete the commune's master plan with a long-term vision, regional connectivity but high feasibility.

Comrade Dang Vinh Son requested that immediately after the Congress, the Party Executive Committee of the commune must urgently develop a specific action program with goals and targets higher than the Congress Resolution; clearly assign people, tasks, and completion time.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Inspection Committee of the Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, comrade Tran Kim Vu was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.
