On October 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it had requested units to strengthen propaganda and dissemination to patients, relatives of patients and medical staff about legal regulations and provide advice and guidance on procedures for relatives of patients when they have the need or desire to donate tissues and organs. At the same time, collect information on patients in need of organ transplants to have timely and effective treatment plans; comply with technical and professional procedures and activities related to tissues and stem cells must be carried out according to regulations.

The Department resolutely condemns acts of buying and selling related to human tissues and body parts; calls on all citizens of the city to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, and propagates to relatives and families who have the need to donate, take, or transplant human tissues and body parts to go to reputable medical facilities in the city for advice and guidance on legal procedures. At the same time, condemn and denounce acts of law violation to the authorities for timely handling.

Tissue and organ transplantation is one of the important achievements of the medical industry in treating diseases, especially for patients with chronic and serious diseases due to impaired and irreversible function of tissues and organs such as chronic kidney failure, liver, heart, bone marrow, corneal damage, etc. After tissue and organ transplantation, patients will improve their health, and from there they can return to work and daily activities.

Along with the development of world and Vietnamese medicine, in Ho Chi Minh City in recent times, there have been a number of end-line hospitals that are qualified to implement techniques related to tissue and organ harvesting and transplantation and have achieved many successes such as: Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Thong Nhat Hospital, Military Hospital 175 , People's Hospital 115, Children's Hospital 2, Xuyen A Hospital.
