Enjoy the sports and off-road racing in Khanh Hoa

The Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2025 sports and off-road racing tournament officially kicked off in the coastal city of Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), attracting nearly 100 racing teams from across the country.

As one of the events in the 2025 Sea Culture - Tourism Festival program, the Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2025 sports and off-road racing tournament is organized by Khanh Hoa Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ky Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company.

The opening ceremony of the Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2025 sports and off-road racing tournament took place on the morning of June 20, at April 2 Square with the participation of Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and many people and tourists.

This is the first time Nha Trang has hosted a national off-road racing tournament with nearly 100 teams competing in 5 categories: professional, upgraded, basic pickup, original SUV and Camping. This event is not just a sports competition, but also a strong signal of the ambition to reposition the tourism brand of the coastal city of Nha Trang.

Mr. Tran Minh Thao - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper shared at the opening ceremony: "We do not want Nha Trang to be associated only with the image of swimming in the sea and eating seafood. This city has the potential to become a destination for those who crave for thrilling experiences, while promoting the image of a Nha Trang that is not only beautiful in terms of sea but also has potential for adventure sports".

The race has a tough route.

Instead of traditional race tracks, the organizers took advantage of the diverse natural terrain from gravel, mud to steep hills in the Hon Do area and Dac Loc Lake. These harsh roads not only challenge the skills of the racers but also highlight the wild, powerful beauty of Khanh Hoa's nature. With powerful engines, the racing cars roared through a series of muddy roads, plowing up the ground, and sending up dust and smoke to the excited cheers of the audience.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, could not hide her excitement when she first witnessed the "cool" racing cars overcoming the rugged terrain: "For someone like me who only knows Nha Trang through the image of beautiful beaches, watching racing like this is truly an interesting surprise. This is truly an eye-catching experience for tourists coming to Nha Trang this summer."

To complete the test, the racers must have top-notch technical handling and a strong spirit.

The tournament will continue until June 22 at two locations in Hon Do and Dac Loc Lake. Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2025 promises to be the beginning of a wave of adventure sports tourism in Vietnam, marking the transformation of Nha Trang from a traditional tourist destination to a modern and dynamic adventure sports tourism center.
