Dong Nai Department of Health warns about fake massage oils

(DN)- After receiving a document from the Department of Traditional Medicine Management (Ministry of Health) regarding the handling of counterfeit drugs, Dong Nai Department of Health has notified its affiliated units, drug trading and usage establishments in the province, and local Health Departments to provide relevant information.

Accordingly, the counterfeit drugs include: Su Tong massage oil, registration number V367-H12-10; Chanh Dai rheumatism oil, registration number V1624-H12-10; Chanh Dai rheumatism oil, registration number V131-H12-10 produced by Chanh Dai traditional medicine production facility (address 295 Nguyen Trai, Ward 7, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).

The Department of Health strictly prohibits drug trading and usage establishments in the province from trading, distributing, and using the above-mentioned counterfeit drugs. When counterfeit drugs are discovered, they must be promptly reported to the local Health Department and the Department of Health for inspection, verification, and tracing of origin.

The Health Departments of districts and cities shall coordinate with relevant authorities to inspect drug trading establishments in the area, verify information and trace the origin of the above-mentioned counterfeit drugs (if detected); handle organizations and individuals who violate the regulations according to current regulations.

The situation of counterfeit drugs and drugs of unknown origin has become a "hot" issue that has received special attention from people in recent days. Before issuing the above announcement, the Dong Nai Department of Health also issued many warning documents about counterfeit drugs to relevant units and people. Therefore, people should absolutely not use the warned counterfeit drugs, only buy drugs at reputable establishments, drugs with clear origin, to avoid "losing money and getting sick".
