Sinner’s impeccable performance in the fourth round confirmed his status as a title contender. The world No. 1 had previously endured a difficult third-round moment when Denis Shapovalov led by a set and 3-0 in the third. However, he overcame that challenge and came back strong, especially in the night match at Arthur Ashe.
“Overall, I'm very happy. It's the first time this year that I've played a night match here and it makes a huge difference. I want to thank everyone who came and supported me. It's a very special occasion for us athletes," Sinner said after the match.

The three-set win was Sinner's most comprehensive performance at a major tournament, surpassing his previous record of a 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 win over Jiri Lehecka at Roland Garros earlier this year.
Bublik had not lost a service game in his previous three matches, but he was broken twice by Sinner early in the match and could not find his way back. The No. 1 seed broke his opponent eight times and faced just one break point, finishing the match in just 1 hour and 21 minutes. It was the second-shortest men's singles match of the tournament this year.
“We know each other very well. We had some tough matches, especially this year, so we know each other a little bit better now in terms of our game. Bublik congratulated me and wished me all the best. He played a very tough match last time, five sets, and it ended very late. Today Bublik didn't serve as well as usual, so I broke him very early in each set, which gave me more confidence to serve a little better," Sinner said of Bublik.
In the quarterfinals, Sinner will face 10th seed Lorenzo Musetti in a historic all-Italian match at a major tournament. Sinner leads Musetti 2-0 in previous meetings.
"It's great to see. Italian tennis is in great form. We have a lot of players, a lot of different styles of play. Lorenzo is probably one of the biggest talents we have in our sport , so I'm looking forward to it. From an Italian perspective, it's great to definitely have an Italian player in the semi-finals," Sinner said.

Sinner is in good form after an impressive performance against Bublik, who has troubled him in the past. Although Sinner leads 5-2 in the head-to-head series, he has lost two of the last three meetings before this one, including a three-set loss in Halle this year.
Bublik showed skill and tenacity in his five-set third-round win over Tommy Paul, but he was unable to capitalize on his powerful serve and effective drop shots against Sinner. The four-time Grand Slam champion attacked with intensity and consistency, not giving his opponent a chance to regain control.
Sinner remains in the race for the ATP No. 1 spot with Carlos Alcaraz. He needs to beat the Spaniard at the US Open to retain the world No. 1 spot. The Italian has become the youngest player to win 24 majors in a season since Rafael Nadal, then 22, achieved the feat in 2008.
“I'm very happy to be in the quarter-finals again. It's a great result. We'll try to play as well as we can and then see what we can achieve this year. But overall, I'm very happy to be in the quarter-finals,” Sinner concluded.
