FPT students compete in scientific research at the ResFes 2025 finals

(Dan Tri) - 62 scientific research topics of FPT students and students from Vietnamese and Philippine universities participated in the final round of ResFes 2025 taking place on August 15 at FPT AI University Quy Nhon.

On August 15, the final round of ResFes 2025 - a scientific research competition for students organized annually byFPT Education took place at FPT AI University Quy Nhon, Gia Lai province. 62 research topics of FPT students, students from the University of Law - Ho Chi Minh National University, College of Teacher Education - The University of Mindanao and Northeastern Mindanao State University (Philippines) participated in the competition.

Research topics at ResFes 2025 fall into five sub-committees: information technology, economics - business administration, multimedia communications, languages and digital art design. Notably, in this year's season, all scientific research is applied AI.

Some topics exploit artificial intelligence as a key tool to develop new perspectives in scientific research such as: voice emotion recognition, financial fraud detection, disease diagnosis, air quality forecasting, etc. Others aim to solve local problems, such as developing smart tourism or optimizing agricultural production through the application of AI tools.

The scientific topics participating in the ResFes 2025 final round were researched and developed by FPT students and students from Vietnamese and Philippine universities for about 5 months. With the guidance and support of lecturers and the support of AI tools, the topics all demonstrated the proactive approach, new and creative perspectives of young people and provided highly practical solutions.

In the final round, the teams will present their research topics and discuss and debate related issues with the expert judges of 5 sub-committees. This is also an opportunity for students who wish to pursue a systematic scientific research path to gain knowledge, skills and experience with prestigious lecturers and experts in information technology, economics, communications, languages and digital art design.

In addition, this contest also contributes to fostering passion for research, encouraging FPT students in particular and students from other universities in general to participate in developing the scientific research movement.

In addition to the academic competition, students participating in the ResFes 2025 final round also met and interacted with digital content creator Vu Thien Phuong - the person behind the series of million-view MVs of famous domestic singers or creative communication campaigns on digital platforms of global brands at the opening session.

Visiting and learning at Quy Nhon Science Center on the morning of May 16, an experiential activity within the framework of the event, also promises useful experiences for the teams competing in the final round.

ResFes is an annual scientific research competition of FPT Education. This event contributes to creating conditions for students inside and outside FPT to practice research skills, apply technology to develop the scientific research movement among young people.

Keeping up with technology trends, actively responding to and implementing key resolutions for national development, including Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, FPT Education actively applies technology to training programs from high school to university. Typically, 100% of FPT high school students are taught to apply and develop AI tools, while college and university students are taught AI programs and majors.

These activities, along with academic playgrounds like ResFes, help students get early exposure to technology and practice international standard scientific research skills.
