On July 22, CBRE held a press conference to announce the highlights of the Da Nang real estate market in the second quarter of 2025. According to Ms. Duong Thuy Dung - Managing Director of CBRE Vietnam (under CBRE Real Estate Group), the Prime Minister's decision to establish a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Da Nang with a scale of more than 1,880 hectares including 7 non-contiguous investment locations is unprecedented in Vietnam.
According to Ms. Duong Thuy Dung - CEO of CBRE Vietnam, FTZ will strongly develop Da Nang industrial real estate.
Along with that, the merger of Quang Nam into Da Nang has brought the economic scale of the new Da Nang city to 12 billion USD, with a population of about 3.1 million people. This is a huge driving force for the new Da Nang economy to take off, in which the real estate sector will certainly benefit a lot from increased demand, expanded supply, and buyers having many choices...
Da Nang is also the end point of the East-West Economic Corridor, so in the near future, this city will be a very large connection point related to the supply chain and logistics chain in Vietnam and the region.
“Combining this with FTZ, according to CBRE, besides residential real estate, industrial real estate will develop strongly in Da Nang in the coming time,” Ms. Duong Thuy Dung commented.
It is known that Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet has just issued plan 07/KH-UBND, implementing Decision 1142/QD-TTg on establishing Da Nang FTZ. In which, relevant agencies are required from now until the end of 2025 to develop a dossier to propose new policies in addition to the policies stipulated in Resolution 136 of the National Assembly for Da Nang FTZ.
Immediately deploy tasks on adjusting planning at all levels, ensuring compliance with current regulations; related procedures on land within the boundary of Da Nang FTZ (change of land use purpose, list of projects requiring land recovery...) for 5 locations that can be done immediately.
Including location 2 - part of Lien Chieu Industrial Park in Hai Van ward (77ha); location 3 - in Hai Van ward (500ha); location 5 - in Ba Na commune (in Ba Na Suoi Mo tourist area complex - 90ha); location 6 - in Ba Na commune (functional area of Suon Doi urban area - 154ha); location 7 - in Ba Na commune and Hoa Vang commune (401ha).
The People's Committee of Da Nang City requested relevant departments and branches to urgently develop a plan for site clearance (GPMB) in densely populated locations (locations 1 and 4). At the same time, research and survey, propose to expand and adjust the boundary of Da Nang FTZ to the South (Chu Lai area)...
Research and develop policies to support investors in building technical infrastructure and social infrastructure works in FTZs; support site clearance costs for strategic investors in densely populated locations with high site clearance costs. Develop a set of criteria for selecting strategic investors and secondary investors. Organize investment promotion activities and select investors; coordinate investment promotion between FTZ Da Nang and Da Nang Financial Center.
