Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, affirmed that the merger of the Central Law College into the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law is a step in line with the general policy of the Party and State on streamlining the organization, improving the operational efficiency of university educational institutions, and at the same time contributing to the organizational perfection of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
Dr. Le Truong Son, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, said that this is a major policy, of great significance to the development strategy of the two schools, expanding learning opportunities for students in the Central Highlands region. When put into training, this branch will be a unit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
The branch's goal is to become a prestigious training institution in the region with a clear training system, meeting quality standards in teaching and research. The branch will focus on training in law at all levels and other fields within the scope of the school's training, while promoting training linkages and organizing legal training courses for local staff.
After the project is approved, the branch will enroll and train undergraduate and postgraduate students, starting from the fourth quarter of 2025.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will enroll students in 5 ways. Of which, the largest enrollment is in law with 1,800 targets.
"The school is committed to proactively developing a plan to receive, convert and develop branches in a systematic manner, in line with the school's strategic development orientation to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, ensuring psychological stability for staff, lecturers and learners during the transition process as well as maintaining and improving the quality of training locally" - Dr. Son affirmed.
