Merge two colleges into two universities

According to Decision No. 1652 dated December 26, 2024, the Prime Minister decided to merge Hai Duong Medical College under the People's Committee of Hai Duong province into Hai Duong University of Medical Technology under the Ministry of Health.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Health and the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to direct relevant agencies and units to hand over and receive the personnel, finance, assets, and students of Hai Duong Medical College under the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to Hai Duong Medical Technical University under the Ministry of Health in accordance with the provisions of law.

The merger and reorganization process must ensure normal operations, legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved, and prevent negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to direct and guide Hai Duong Medical Technical University on training and granting degrees to students studying at Hai Duong Medical College in accordance with the provisions of law.

In Decision No. 1653, the Prime Minister decided to merge Nghe An Pedagogical College into Nghe An University of Economics and change the name of Nghe An University of Economics to Nghe An University under the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Accordingly, Nghe An University is a public university with legal status, its own seal and account and operates in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to direct and guide Nghe An University on training and granting degrees to students studying at Nghe An Pedagogical College in accordance with the provisions of law.
