Vbiz stars compete with reporters in the pickleball tournament of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper

The first pickleball tournament of 2025 organized by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper gathered many journalists, reporters and artists and took place on the morning of June 14 at pickleball court 8386.

Joining the atmosphere of the whole country towards the occasion of celebrating many important historical events, Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper created a playground for pickleball, a sport that is developing strongly in big cities.

In addition, the award is held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the founding of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper (July 28, 1975 - July 28, 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

This year's 1st Pickleball Tournament 2025 welcomes 100 pairs of athletes in 6 competitions, including men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles of two age groups: 18 to 39 years old and 40 years old and over.

This is a testament to the spirit of open sports, connecting the community, and at the same time encouraging physical exercise among all classes of people.

Also competing in the tournament are journalists working at news agencies and newspapers, along with many tennis players who are artists, actors, singers, and musicians working in the art field.

Many attractive prizes await the champions of the 6 tournament categories such as first prize: cup, 6 million VND, 2 pairs of pickleball shoes and 1 voucher; second prize: cup, 4 million VND and two boxes of 6 balls; third prize: cup, 2 million VND and two boxes of 3 balls each.
