ASEAN Football, a website specializing in Southeast Asian football, said: “25,000 spectators were present at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong, to cheer for the match between the Vietnamese women's football team and Thailand, within the framework of the group stage of the 2025 Southeast Asian Football Championship.”

“This is the most watched women's football match in Southeast Asia in the past 20 years,” ASEAN Football added.
Also according to this information page, the previous record for the number of spectators in a Southeast Asian women's football match, also appearing on a Vietnamese field, appeared at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong.
ASEAN Football shared: “The previous record related to the number of spectators also appeared at Lach Tray Stadium. That was the final match of SEA Games 22 in 2003, when the Vietnamese women's football team met Myanmar.”

Coach Mai Duc Chung himself, after the 1-0 victory of the Vietnamese women's football team over Thailand last night, expressed his feelings about Lach Tray Stadium: "The number of 25,000 spectators reminded me of the final match of the women's football event at the 22nd SEA Games in 2003, also at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong)."
“The support of the fans gives us strength and confidence. I hope that in the next matches of the Vietnamese women's football team, the audience will continue to come to the stadium in even larger numbers,” added coach Mai Duc Chung.
Meanwhile, Thailand's Siam Sport newspaper said: "Lach Tray Stadium is the venue for the semi-finals and finals of this year's Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship."
“The Vietnamese women’s team and the Thai women’s team have both reached the semi-finals. The Thai women’s football team (second in Group A) will meet the top team in Group B at Lach Tray Stadium on August 16,” Siam Sport added.
According to the announcement from VFF today (August 13), tickets to watch the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) will be on sale at 9:00 a.m. on August 14, via online channels.
Tickets are sold at two prices: 100,000 VND/ticket and 200,000 VND/ticket, depending on the grandstand area. This is an affordable ticket price for fans.
