Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, ending all speculation about his future. The announcement was made by the club on the X platform, along with a video of the 40-year-old Ronaldo walking on the beach and declaring: "Al-Nassr forever."
Ronaldo only made the decision after coach Stefano Pioli left the club – a man he had publicly thanked for his support throughout the season. The new deal reportedly includes not only two more seasons, but also promises to improve the squad and have a greater say in the team’s sporting decisions.
Financially, this is the world's most valuable contract, estimated at $180-200 million per year, including salary, image rights and commercial contracts. In particular, Ronaldo is also said to own a part of the club's shares, about 15%, showing that his iconic role has gone beyond the framework of a mere player.

In the future, Ronaldo will also be rewarded greatly if he achieves: SPL Golden Boot with 5.5 million USD bonus, Al-Nassr wins the domestic championship then the number is up to 11 million USD.
In addition, the Portuguese superstar's family is also served attentively by a team of 16 people including drivers, maids, chefs, gardeners and bodyguards, with all expenses paid by the club. He also uses a private jet and receives a sponsorship package worth up to 60 million pounds from businesses in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Nassr are currently looking for a new coach, and former Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus is the most mentioned name for the position in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo's stay continues to help the SPL (Saudi Pro League) maintain its appeal. He is considered a pioneer in the wave of bringing big stars to the Middle East.
The Portuguese star joined Al-Nassr in 2023, marking the start of a wave of late-career stars moving to Saudi Arabia. According to a source from the Public Investment Fund (PIF) - the unit that owns many clubs in the tournament: "Ronaldo's presence has raised the level of the tournament and attracted both young talents and big names."
Ronaldo's continued commitment to Al-Nassr is expected to spur more high-profile deals, including AC Milan defender Theo Hernández, who is reportedly on his way to Al-Hilal.
Meanwhile, Karim Benzema's future at Al-Ittihad remains unclear, although many sources believe he will stay for another season.
