Marcus Rashford officially joined Barcelona on loan from Manchester United. |
“I am very excited, this is a club where dreams come true. I feel at home, and that was the most important factor in my decision,” Marcus Rashford said shortly after completing his loan move from Manchester United to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old striker will wear the number 14 shirt at Camp Nou, with a buyout clause in the summer of 2026, for an estimated fee of €30 million. Rashford revealed that positive conversations with coach Hansi Flick made him determined to join the Catalan club.
“What he did last season was incredible. Leading a young team to success and still wanting more shows me everything I need to know about this club,” Rashford stressed.
Barcelona have been chasing Rashford since January. They initially targeted Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, but when Williams renewed his contract with Athletic Club and Liverpool refused to negotiate for Diaz, Barca returned to Rashford. The Englishman also accepted a pay cut to speed up the deal.

Flick's team is preparing to travel to Asia to play friendly matches with Vissel Kobe (Japan), Daegu and FC Seoul (South Korea). Rashford will join the team immediately to integrate with the attacking squad including Lewandowski, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and young talent Lamine Yamal.
Rashford left Manchester United after 138 goals in 426 games, a Europa League, two FA Cups and a Carabao Cup. He was no longer part of manager Ruben Amorim's plans and was dropped from the first team at the end of last year, following a loan spell at Aston Villa.
In another development, Barcelona and Braga have reached an agreement to sign striker Pau Víctor for a fee of around 10-15 million euros.
