Review and handle the use of Jeep and UAZ cars for transportation business without business registration

The Traffic Safety Committee of Khanh Hoa province has just sent a document to the Department of Construction, the Provincial Police, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding the implementation of measures to ensure traffic safety for road passenger transport business activities.

Accordingly, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee requested the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police and the Office of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to strengthen the dissemination of regulations on conditions for road passenger transport business to transport businesses; coordinate with functional forces to inspect, review and strictly handle violations. At the same time, review and compile a list of transport businesses using Jeep and UAZ cars to conduct road passenger transport business in the province, and send it to competent authorities for coordination in inspection and management (if any).

At the same time, the Provincial Police Department is requested to direct the Traffic Police force to continue to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of compliance with conditions for road passenger transport business in the area. In particular, focus on inspecting and handling acts that pose potential risks to traffic safety such as: Using Jeep and UAZ cars for transport business but not registered for business; using vehicles that do not meet technical safety and environmental protection conditions; using cars that have not converted their license plates to service vehicles, and have not been granted badges and signs according to the law to do business in transporting tourists and visitors . At the same time, direct the local Police force to strengthen inspections at areas and tourist attractions with a large number of visitors, where passenger transport by Jeep and UAZ is carried out; promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations according to the law.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, relevant agencies and units to urgently implement the requirements of the National Traffic Safety Committee related to reviewing and handling violations of tour vehicles serving tourists that do not meet business conditions.
