Quang Nam requested departments, branches and sectors to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for major projects, including the Nam Hoi An Resort Project.

Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, has just requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to focus on reviewing specific projects (Chu Lai Airport Project, Nam Hoi An Resort, Thaco Chu Lai Industrial Park (451ha). ...) to focus on directing, organizing, implementing in a drastic, comprehensive and synchronous manner the solutions and policies issued by the Provincial People's Committee to support and immediately remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and investors; promote production and business, economic growth, create jobs and livelihoods for people, especially policies on taxes, fees, interest rates, consumer stimulus, investment procedures, etc.

Localities should proactively meet, discuss, listen to comments and recommendations from businesses to promptly develop goals, tasks and development solutions, support and assist local businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, businesses facing difficulties in finance, legal matters, land procedures and site clearance; in cases beyond their authority, report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution.

According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, the economic situation in October 2024 is still difficult, especially enterprises in the province have not fully recovered. Along with that, the number of newly established enterprises is currently decreasing in quantity and registered capital compared to the same period in 2023. In the first 10 months, the total number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market (1,342) is lower than the total number of enterprises registering to temporarily suspend business, waiting for dissolution procedures and dissolution (1,390). In addition, investment promotion work still faces many difficulties; although focusing on investment with focus, key points, not spreading out and directing strongly, the disbursement rate of public investment capital has not met the plan.

The causes of the identified shortcomings and limitations are that mechanisms, policies and administrative procedures are still bottlenecks; coordination in implementing tasks between some units is not tight. Some investors lack initiative and flexibility in directing the acceleration of project implementation progress and disbursement of public investment capital.
