ESMO VINA Co., Ltd., Gia Van Industrial Park (Gia Vien) specializes in manufacturing automobile wires, is a 100% foreign-owned enterprise. After 6 years of operation, from 54 initial union members, the number of union members has now increased to more than 700. During the production and business process, the grassroots union always actively propagates, mobilizes and advises the Company's leaders to implement the provisions according to regulations for employees; cares about the rights and legitimate interests of employees, especially the daily working environment to protect the health of employees.
In particular, in order to minimize the risk of occupational accidents and diseases, and create a safe and productive working environment, the Company has devoted a large amount of resources to invest in purchasing modern machinery and equipment. Recently, the Company has invested 30 billion VND to install an air conditioning system throughout the line; fully equipped with protective gear for over 700 workers. In the coming time, the Company aims to build a break area on campus with full tables, chairs, books, drinks, mid-shift meals and exercise and sports equipment, etc., helping workers enjoy suitable entertainment facilities, thereby regenerating their labor force, creating a joyful and comfortable working atmosphere, and increasing production and business efficiency.
Working in a safe environment, Mr. Tran Dinh Bac, a factory worker, shared: Over the years, the Company has continuously updated and invested in modern, automatic machinery systems with high technology to operate heavy-duty stages. With just simple operations, workers can use and operate the machines to increase labor productivity, reduce environmental pollution, and ensure compliance with the health conditions of workers.
In particular, with the use of the air conditioning system throughout the factory, the working environment and health of workers have been positively improved, especially in hot weather conditions. In addition, 100% of the employees working at the Company are also fully equipped with labor protection; participate in training, disseminate knowledge about labor safety and hygiene, and are equipped with safety protection skills and fire prevention. Workers feel excited, enthusiastic about competing in production and are attached to the enterprise.
Excel Vietnam Garment Company Limited (Yen Khanh) currently has about 1,100 employees. Determining that the health of employees is the asset of the enterprise, in recent years, the Company has paid special attention to improving the quality of lunch and shift meals for employees. The issue of ensuring food safety (FS) in the collective kitchen is carried out according to the correct procedures.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, said: To ensure food safety, first of all, there must be a system of facilities that are reasonably designed and airy, from arranging rows of dining tables to ensuring appropriate distance, creating a cool atmosphere for workers every time they eat.
According to the Company's kitchen staff, the daily menu is built to ensure nutritional balance and suitability for each weather condition. Meals are always varied, ensuring adequate nutrition and satiety. In particular, the selection of food is very important. Food is purchased by the kitchen through reputable contracts, proving its origin and source. The processing stage, tools and equipment are cleaned. Processed food is sampled according to regulations, the water source supplied to the kitchen is always controlled and monitored to ensure quality. The cooking staff is periodically checked for health; trained professionally and improved skills. The kitchen is always cared for by the Board of Directors and the Trade Union, investing in equipment to ensure requirements and techniques, reducing labor for cooking staff and ensuring food hygiene and safety. The office team and medical staff of the Company regularly check and supervise collective meals.
Comrade Dinh The Hung, Chairman of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union, affirmed: In the past, grassroots trade unions have carried out meaningful projects and tasks worth billions of dong such as: Collective dining halls; areas for organizing cultural and sports activities... The companionship and practical attention of trade unions and enterprises have created a strong motivation for workers to work with peace of mind and actively contribute to the sustainable development of enterprises. In 2024 alone, 421 initiatives of workers were applied to benefit enterprises with over 12 billion VND, of which 2 typical initiatives were awarded the Certificate of Creative Labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; more than 400 workers were rewarded by enterprises for their achievements in creative initiatives; 28 workers were proposed by the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union to the Provincial People's Committee to receive a Certificate of Merit; 19 workers are exemplary party members in production and labor and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and 12 typical grassroots Trade Union chairmen were commended by the Provincial Labor Federation...
