Phu Dong Ninh Binh lifted the championship cup

Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club officially lifted the 2024/2025 National First Division Championship trophy at home in round 21. On a special happy day, coach Nguyen Viet Thang and his team also created a goal feast with a 3-0 victory over Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club.

This victory not only helps Ninh Binh extend their impressive streak but also makes the race for 2nd place - and at the same time own a ticket to the exciting play-off match until the final round.

Ninh Binh had an impressive season, and became the absolute champion of the tournament with a series of historic achievements: 18 wins, 1 draw and no defeat, scoring 38 goals and only conceding 2 goals, reaching 55 points after round 21 (the last round - round 22 away in Dong Thap ). The desire to conquer the championship trophy turned the students of coach Viet Thang into a "winning machine".

Even though they completed their championship goal early in round 19, Ninh Binh still played very explosively and most recently won 3-0 against the second-ranked opponent, Binh Phuoc. If they continue to win in the final round, the new champion of the First Division will end their historic journey with the longest unbeaten streak and an almost absolute number of points.

Ninh Binh will embark on a new journey called V.League in the 2025/2026 season, scheduled to start in August 2025.

Binh Phuoc Club, after the loss in Ninh Binh, could not complete the goal of winning a ticket to the play-off match. Even the race for the ticket between Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND was still tense and exciting until the last round - round 22.

Because on the same day, while Binh Phuoc suffered a 0-3 defeat, PVF-CAND won 1-0 in Khanh Hoa. The victory helped coach Thach Bao Khanh and his team narrow the gap to only 1 point (40 vs. 41) compared to coach Quoc Anh and his team.

In the final round, both at home, Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND will host two opponents who have completed their relegation goals, Long An and Dong Nai.

The battle for the bottom group also had a clear result when the relegation ticket belonged to Hue Club. Although Hue Club fought hard until the last match to hold on to the fragile hope of staying in the league with a 1-0 victory over Tre TP HCM, they could not change their "fate".

With 16 points like Hoa Binh Club, Hue Club is at the bottom of the table because of losing the direct match. Besides, in round 22, Hue Club will not play, while Hoa Binh will also meet Ba Ria Vung Tau. Hue Club, a team with many years of experience in the First Division, had many opportunities to escape but they could not take advantage of the success and their efforts in the final round were too late.
